Terms of Use

Last updated 4 October 2026

The terms for using iSurge, the Mac app, and this website.

Agreement

These terms apply when you download or use iSurge, the Mac app, and this website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use iSurge.

Your licence

iSurge is free. ioiostudios gives you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to download, install and use iSurge on Macs you own or control, for personal or work use, at no cost.

Please don’t sell iSurge, redistribute modified copies, remove its notices, or pass off a copy as your own. Sharing the link to this website is always welcome.

Ownership

iSurge, its name, icon and design belong to ioiostudios. Apple, Mac, MacBook and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc. iSurge is an independent app and isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Apple. App names and icons that appear in iSurge belong to their owners.

Tips

Buying me a coffee on Ko-fi is voluntary. A tip doesn’t buy a licence, features, support or any other service, and it’s processed by Ko-fi under its own terms. If something goes wrong with a payment, contact Ko-fi, or email us and we’ll help where we can.

Using iSurge with care

iSurge can quit apps and change volume and sound output when you ask it to. Quitting an app can lose unsaved work, so save first. Numbers such as temperatures and battery health come from macOS and your Mac’s sensors and may not be exact. Don’t rely on iSurge where safety depends on it.

Updates and changes

We may update iSurge, add or remove features, or stop offering it. Updates are free. iSurge asks before installing an update, and you can turn automatic checks off.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what iSurge does and doesn’t do with information. In short: nothing leaves your Mac.

No warranty

iSurge is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows. We don’t promise that iSurge will be error-free or work on every Mac.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, ioiostudios isn’t liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits or revenue, arising from your use of iSurge or this website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for iSurge, which is zero. Some places don’t allow these limits, so they may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

Ending

You can stop using iSurge at any time by quitting it and moving it to the Trash. These terms end automatically if you break them.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we’ll post the new version here with a new date. Continuing to use iSurge after that means you accept the change.
